Job Description:

Have a balanced and rewarding career as an ECC veterinarian, working in Hobart!!

AES Hobart are looking for veterinarians!!!
  • That thrive when working as part of a collaborative team to bring the best outcomes for our patients.
  • That recognise their strengths, and want to learn to improve in other areas.
  • That enjoy being mentoring others, but also enjoy being mentoring by others with different strengths.
  • That love working with fabulous nurses that enhance our patient care and make our jobs much easier
  • That are attracted to the fantastic lifestyle Tasmania and Hobart offers with fresh delicious food, the arts, and endless outdoor opportunities in magnificent natural setting.
  • That take patient care seriously, but can achieve that whilst having a fun shift at work with a team that can be silly, and can get the important work done.
  • That recognise not every shift goes the way we want, but we can get through it together

We have vets with memberships in ECC, surgery, medicine of cats and internal medicine. We have access to an internal medicine specialist team, and we are looking to expand our services as we grow.
We can help you grow your skills with access to Improve International courses, morbidity & mortality rounds, journal club and other great clinical learning opportunities, as well as leadership training.
We are the only 24 hour / 7 day a week hospital in Tasmania, so the caseload is varied and interesting, with great support within, and from the greater community of hospitals that we are part of as an AES hospital.

We want to empower our people to drive decisions that bring about lasting change for all veterinary professionals.”
