About Dr. Elizabeth Settles
Meet Our Leading Specialist: Dr. Elizabeth Settles, Veterinary Internal Medicine Specialist
Dr. Elizabeth Settles grew up on a small farm in rural Kentucky in the United States. She attended the University of Kentucky where she studied Microbiology and Music Performance. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree from Auburn University and completed a small animal medicine and surgery internship at the University of Missouri, and a dual residency in Cardiology and Internal Medicine. She became board certified by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in Small Animal Internal Medicine and has also completed advanced training in Pharmacology and Immunology.
Elizabeth has worked for many years in private specialty internal medicine, cardiology, and emergency as well as general practice in the U.S.A. She worked for Veterinary Specialist Services Carrara last year and has now transitioned to Animal Emergency Australia in a new role as Consulting Internal Medicine Specialist.
She enjoys all aspects of internal medicine practice but is particularly drawn to highly complicated cases involving immune system and endocrine dysfunction.
