Where? AES Carrara – part of the AEA group.
How is it different? Focus on patients, and we are dedicated to further developing your veterinary skills: surgery, medicine, client communications. Always get support – you’re not working alone.
How much does it pay? Earn anywhere between $104,000 – $180,000 ++ annually (experienced based).
The opportunity
Join us here on the Gold Coast where exceptional patient care is our goal every shift. As one of our first AEA practices to open 20 years ago, we have built collaborative partnerships with Veterinary Specialist Services and GP referring vets, to offer the best care we can, regardless of whether it’s at night, on the weekend or a public holiday.
We have multiple veterinarians rostered on each shift so you will always have other vets to bounce ideas off and there is very minimal sole charge.
About You: If you hold a veterinary degree eligible for registration in Australia and have relentless focus on patient outcomes then you’re the right fit. You’re also willing to be part of a supportive environment where it’s okay to learn from mistakes, reach out for help, and lend a hand to your colleagues too.
All in all, we want to make sure you are: – Supported well.
So why AES Carrara?
Here are seven reasons:
- Need help with a case? This isn’t sole charge; we’ve all got your back. You’ll have access to leaders, specialists, qualified vet nurses. With multiple vets on every night, you will have someone to reach out to.
- Continuous Learning & Growth: When you join the team, your development is important to us. We want our team to be consistently up-skilling, and encourage our Veterinarians to achieve their MANZCVS and we will ensure you have access to the programs and support you need to get there. We also run regular M&M meetings, learning forums both in house and through AEA. All our new vets have access to the accelerate course and ongoing CE
- Emergency work isn’t magic: You don’t need to be a genius or a superhero to work in emergency. There’s more skin/ears/gastro than you’d think! We do veterinary work and save patients like any other vet – it’s just dark outside.
- Paid what you’re worth: don’t settle for an award wage. Get the pay a vet deserves! We ensure you are re compensated for your time and skills with a decent salary, regular wage reviews, and option to become a hospital shareholder after three years.
- Choose how the hospital works: our hospitals are all employee-owned, which means that it’s the people treating patients deciding how the hospital operates. You’re not just making a wage; you’re making a difference.
- Proper career progression: want to step into a more advanced clinical role? Become a Senior vet, mentor or leader with AEA? Check out one of our other hospitals? With over 500 roles, you are able to advance your career how you want.
- Harmony in work life balancing: With only 20 – 30 hour a week, this allows you to explore all the good things the gold coast has to offer. Beaches, gyms, hinterland, cafes, restaurants nightlife.
Need more reasons than these seven? Apply now or send your Expression of Interest (EOI) to Tee at [email protected] or check our our website at Careers | Animal Emergency Australia
We’d love to show you our hospital and the vet team that you could be working alongside. Reach out and let’s make a difference to value-based patient care
