About the Clinic
Animal Emergency Service (AES) Carrara operate afterhours offering services when other facilities may be closed, ensuring a dynamic environment with a constant influx of diverse and exciting cases. We also handle a significant volume of wildlife cases, averaging over 50 cases per weekend!
Our Carrara clinic stands out for its exceptional size and dedicated team, characterized by passion, knowledge, and a commitment to optimal patient outcomes. There are approximately 90 veterinary professionals in the team including 30 veterinarians, 40 veterinary nurses, 10 client care representatives and 10 support roles!
About the Role
As an emergency vet nurse, you will be involved in triage, hospital case management, surgery, critical nursing and critical case management. Experience exciting case diversity such as GDVs, impalements, hit by cars and in summer ticks, toads and snakes!
Our nurses work 8-10hr shifts that cover early mornings, nights, weekends and public holidays. This is a permanent part-time role with rosters set at least four weeks in advance.

About You
- Minimum of 1-year ECC experience or 3 years GP experience
- Previous ICU nursing experience (desired)
- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or Bachelor of Veterinary Technology
- Thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced, and dynamic environment
- Strong communication and team-work skills
- Love of learning and continual improvement
- Reliable mode of transport (essential for shift work)
