Hope Island Veterinary Surgery are a growing vet clinic dedicated to providing high-quality care for pets in our community. We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Veterinary Nurse to join our team in a senior capacity and help us continue our mission of delivering exceptional veterinary care.
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Veterinary Nurse who is not only highly skilled but also kind, caring, and deeply committed to animal welfare. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering exceptional patient care, supporting your team’s growth and development, and upholding the strong client relationships we pride ourselves on. We are a small tight knit team, so if you thrive in a supportive environment and are passionate about both patient care and team collaboration, we’d love to hear from you!
This role is a full time position in a General Practice clinic and consists of 38hrs per week including a rotating 1/2 day Saturday. The team work together to create schedules that suit everyone.
What does Senior vet nurse life at Hope Island Veterinary Surgery look like?
- All round nursing (hands on triage, pathology, radiography, treatments, surgery, patient care and reception duties)

About You
- Minimum of 3-4 years industry experience post qualification
- Thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced, and dynamic environment
- Kind, compassionate human being who values their team
- Strong communication and team-work skills
- Love of learning and continual improvement
- Can self direct and delegate fairly
- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or Bachelor of Veterinary Technology
- Looking for a full time position (38hr per week)
- Experience in a similar senior position highly regarded.
