The Job
As part of the awesome Operations Team, the Senior Accounts Officer supports the key accounting objectives of Animal Emergency Australia. This role reports to the Accounts Manager and has the objective to provide accurate and timely processing, controlling, analysis and reporting of accounting transactions. The key outcomes include: effective communication with national clinics, timely processing of information, maintaining data integrity and accuracy of accounting records to support an effective accounting function. Prepare reports as required by the Accounts Manager, CFO and COO. Ensure accounts satisfy AEA financial policies, internal controls and audit standards.
The Location
Flexible work arrangements with min. 3 days on location as required. Head office is in Springwood, Brisbane.

All About You
- 5+ years’ experience in an equivalent position
- Extensive general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and reporting skills
- Extensive Xero experience required
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and effective analysis.
- Effective financial document organisation and archiving
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment
- Familiarity with Dext and RxWorks is a plus
