Join Us in Emergency and Critical Care: Step into a Role Where Compassion Meets Innovation

Pet ICU, part of the Animal Emergency Australia (AEA) network, is a cutting-edge intensive care unit located in Underwood, South-East Queensland. We are committed to advancing veterinary care through collaboration and innovation. Our focus is on providing the highest standard of care, supported by a dedicated team of highly skilled veterinary technicians and nurses working together to achieve the best outcomes for our patients. We are currently seeking an experienced vet for a casual clinical position as we continue to expand. If you’re looking for a supportive and forward-thinking environment, we’d love to hear from you.

What You Bring to the Role:

  • Emergency Expertise: You have a solid base in veterinary emergency or medicine, with an eagerness to expand your skill set. Membership in Emergency and Critical Care or equivalent is highly desirable but not essential.
  • Collaborative Spirit: You’ll work closely with Veterinary Specialist Services and Animal Emergency Service and contribute to our culture of collaborative, multidisciplinary care.
  • Open Hospital Advocacy: Thrive in an environment that values transparent, compassionate communication and considers pet owners a valuable part of the patient care team.
  • Team Player: A firm believer in collaborative growth, you’re adept at both learning from and guiding others within our team-focused setting.
  • Effective Communication: Your strong communication skills enable you to work seamlessly with various departments and connect genuinely with pet owners.
  • Passion for Innovation: You are forward-thinking, always looking for ways to grow professionally and driven to being at the forefront of veterinary medicine.

What We Bring to the Role:

  • Competitive Remuneration: We recognize the breadth of your expertise with remuneration packages ranging from $65 – $100/hr ++ commensurate with experience.
  • Flexible Work Arrangements: Enjoy flexible shift patterns with 8.5-hour shifts to ensure balance between work and personal life.
  • Continual Professional Development: We support advancement in your career in a culture that encourages learning and growth.
  • Collaborate with a Skilled Team: You’ll be part of a highly dedicated group of criticalists, residents, ICU veterinarians, technicians, nurses, and client care representatives—all committed to improving patient outcomes, staying current with advancing knowledge, and embracing innovation.

We’re committed to creating an environment where you can thrive, supported by a team that values your development as much as your day-to-day contributions. If you possess some of the pre-requests, have a strong interest in Critical Care and are committed to growth and development, we encourage you to reach out.
