Pet ICU, part of the Animal Emergency Australia (AEA) network, is a cutting-edge intensive care unit located in Underwood, South-East Queensland. We are committed to advancing veterinary care through collaboration and innovation. Our focus is on providing the highest standard of care, supported by a dedicated team of highly skilled veterinary technicians and nurses working together to achieve the best outcomes for our patients. We are currently seeking a skilled Criticalist or Registrar for a maternity cover position, with the potential for a longer-term opportunity as we continue to expand. What You Will Bring to the Role:

  • Expertise in Critical Care: You are either a Diplomate or Fellowship qualified Criticalist, or a Registrar with experience in emergency and critical care. Your focus is on applying best-practice principles in high-caseload environments.
  • Collaborative Approach: You’ll work closely with Veterinary Specialist Services and Animal Emergency Services, embracing our culture of teamwork across multiple disciplines to deliver the highest level of care.
  • Open Communication: You thrive in environments that prioritize transparent and compassionate communication, ensuring pet owners are always well-informed and engaged in the treatment process.
  • Leadership & Mentoring: Your ability to guide and collaborate with other veterinarians, including residents and interns, will enhance our team’s knowledge and patient outcomes.
  • Passion for Innovation: You are forward-thinking, always looking for ways to grow professionally while staying at the forefront of veterinary medicine.
