The Job

As part of the awesome IT team, the IT Support Manager will lead and deliver IT services under the direction of the COO, by providing Strategic and Operational oversight of AEA technology platforms, while ensuring delivery of services in accordance with IT service level agreements.

The TSM will identify and develop operational capability in line with the Strategic Plan of AEA and will provide pro-active, customer centric, demand driven and enhanced IT support for all Animal Emergency Australia’s (AEA) practices and department team members.

The TSM will also deliver technology enabled change in line with the Strategic direction, and enable operational and maintenance support for Desktop, End User, servers and networks, including Internet access, Voice systems, and  WiFi Systems.

Flexible work arrangements with min. 3 days on location as required. Head office is in Springwood, Brisbane

All About You

• An awesome IT Guru and Manager with tertiary IT qualification and a minimum of 4 years’ experience in similar role
• A strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and problem-solving aptitude
• Demonstrated ability to provide operational guidance and day to day supervision of a virtual team across multiple sites, make decisions and determine priorities.
• Demonstrate personal drive and integrity by accepting personal responsibility for completion of work
• Exhibit effective prioritisation and time management skills to deliver agreed outcomes on multiple projects within set timeframes and within a high-pressured environment.
• Experience with the support and installation of data networking across multiple sites
• Strong Microsoft Windows Server administration skills, together with the ability to manage firewalls, and VPN remote implementation
• Hands-on experience with hardware maintenance and installations, e.g. printers and other peripherals
• Knowledge of x-ray, medical imaging, and Audio Visual/Remote Conferencing technologies (highly regarded – not essential)
• An understanding of software licencing process, management, and compliance.
• Ability to conduct technological analyses and research
