The Business Support Officer – Operations will provide administrative and operational support to the Operations Manager and Inventory Coordinator. This role will ensure smooth operational activities across inventory management, project execution, team communication, and general operational tasks. The Operations Assistant will serve as a key backup for the Inventory Coordinator, offering coverage during periods of leave and ensuring continuity of business operations.
This is an entry-level role, offering an opportunity for hands-on experience in operations management, with the potential to grow into more senior roles over time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administrative Support: Assist with training, event, and travel coordination.
- Maintenance & Supplier Liaison: Coordinate maintenance activities and manage supplier relationships.
- Ordering & Inventory Management: Oversee procurement of uniforms, prescription labels, gifts, Drugs & Consumables and equipment.
- Policy Management: Manage and support the development and implementation of policies, including WHS protocols.
- Leadership Support: Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Operations Manager as required & act as a point of contact for operations department in lieu of Operations Manager.
- Project Support: Assist with administrative tasks related to ongoing projects within operations department & track project progress, manage deadlines & help ensure key milestones are achieved.

- Prior administrative or operations experience in a similar field (e.g., inventory management, project support). (Desired, but not essential)
- Self-starter with strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to quickly navigate and manage rostering platforms.
- High proficiency in Microsoft 365.
- Committed to creating a warm, professional atmosphere for both clients and team members.
- Eager to grow in your role and contribute to a forward-thinking, innovative team.
- Veterinary experience desired but not essential.
- Basic understanding of inventory control & equipment management processes.
