Dr Simon Lemin
Dr Simon Lemin graduated from the University of Queensland in 1990 and after seven years in general practice, switched to the challenges and stimulation of emergency practice. He joined forces with Dr Rob Webster to establish Animal Emergency Service in 2005 when the pair purchased the emergency hospital they were both working for.
Simon’s strong passion for emergency and trauma surgery, ventilator medicine and all details of veterinary science have seen him and his team lead five emergency hospitals across Australia (and growing!). The year 2020 marks 23 years of hard work as a dedicated emergency and critical care veterinary professional.
In 2013 Dr Lemin joined the Emergency and Critical Care Chapter of the ANZCVS where he held the position of President. 2019 marked his final year of Presidency at The Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists where he continually strived to improve medicine and surgical capabilities.
“Animal Emergency Service gives me the ability to work at the highest clinical standard available. Never compromised by lack of resources, with the most talented team of vets, nurses and admin staff.”
Simon and his wife Jules have four children (two girls and two boys!), and a myriad of animals at home: pet pigs, cows, horses, Shar-pei dogs, hairless cats, parrots, snakes, spiders and lizards! He continues to be an integral part of the Animal Emergency Service family and helps the company deliver their passion for commitment to veterinary excellence.
