Welcome to the Gold Coast
Animal Emergency Service Carrara is home to 70 team members including vets, vet nurses, and support team members. The after-hours emergency hospital sees a wide variety of patients each day, and during busy periods can see up to 80+ patients over a 24 hour period.
Presentations you’ll expect to see can include everything from domestic pets, wildlife (koalas, kangaroos, and snakes) all the way through to sea life. In this unique hospital, you are bound to see patients from our veterinary colleagues at SeaWorld, who are also located on the Gold Coast.
The Gold Coast has you well covered from land to sea with surfing and swimming spots – from the infamous Surfers Paradise to the golden beaches of Miami. You’ll find beautiful scenic hikes around Currumbin Valley, Springbrook, and Tamborine Mountain – to name just a few.
If team comradery is what you are looking for in a workplace, you will find it with us. Our team has a passion for taking care of the environment and meet regularly outside work for picnics and clean-up days, yoga, paddle boarding, and more.
We also enter a team into the Kokoda Trail (90km long and strenuous run through the hinterland all the way to Brisbane) each year, and train together for the experience of a lifetime.
To help parents returning to the workplace, we have our very own mother’s group, where we share our experiences of parenthood and lean on each other for support. Plus a bit of baby spam for those who like that 🙂
You’ll find this and much, much more when you enter our doors at Carrara Animal Emergency Service.
Get in touch with us today for a tour around the hospital and to see if this is the right place for you.
