Welcome to Underwood
The first ever Animal Emergency Service hospital, Underwood is home to some of the most experienced veterinary emergency professionals in Brisbane including vets, vet nurses and support team members. The hospital is also one of the busiest – the team can see in excess of 80+ patients on their busiest day, all requiring emergency vet care.
Because of its central location to the CBD and proximity to some of the local forests, the after-hours emergency hospital sees both domestic pets and wildlife.
Our team has a real soft-heart for relocating lost pets with their owners, and they cherish good samaritans who help protect local wildlife by bringing them in when they’re injured or sick.
Working in Underwood gives you a taste of all worlds – you’re exactly half-way between Brisbane CBD and the Gold Coast! On any given day you can choose to explore Southbank, enjoy a meal on Grey St or catch a City Cat to Eagle St pier.
If that’s not your thing, you could take a drive to the beaches of the Gold Coast, where you’ll find Miami Marketta, Broadbeach Pavilion or pop into one of the many theme parks. You’ll be afforded the opportunity to explore these areas because we work during the night-times, and your days will be free (after catching some zzz’s!).
