This opportunity is based at our flagship Animal Emergency Services (AES) Underwood Hospital, one of AEA’s cornerstone practices.
About the Role
We are seeking a Discharge Shift Veterinarian to join our AES Underwood team.
- You’ll work primarily in the early to mid-mornings, Monday to Friday, supporting patients as they transition home, back to their primary vet, or to our on-site specialists at Veterinary Specialist Services (VSS).
- For those wanting more, additional clinical hours are available, giving you the chance to curate your role and grow your ECC experience at your own pace.
- You’ll also have the opportunity to collaborate with our Pet ICU team and the VSS teams.
Shift Times:
- Monday: 5:00am – 10:30am
- Tuesday–Friday: 6:00am – 9:30am

About You:
We’re looking for veterinarians who want to learn, grow, and make a difference.
You will bring:
- Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (or equivalent)
- Registration (or eligibility) with the Veterinary Surgeons Board of QLD
- Excellent animal handling skills and commitment to gold-standard care
- Strong communication, organisation, and client service skills
- A collaborative mindset and a genuine passion for helping pets and their families
